I have been a big fan of Gravity Falls for quite some time now, but it ended awhile ago. It was a bummer to see the show end, but I think it went out with one heck of a bang, so it felt complete. But recently, Alex Hirsch and Disney Books released a collection of four stories!
These four stories were an absolute blast, and there was an intermittent naration from Schmebulock! The stories are about some of our favorite Gravity Falls characters; Dipper and Pacifica try to save face, Mabel sees what it’s like to be surrounded by herself, the fourth wall is broken as the whole crew gets pulled into a comic book, and we get a glimpse at the Stan twins’ childhood. I don’t want to get all that deep into the plot for anything in this, because it’s relatively short, and I want you to read it.
This was a great book. I want to recommend it to everyone because I’m so grateful to have even a snippet more of Gravity Falls information. I’m hoping this is successful so Disney will make more books, and we’ll keep getting more pieces from Hirsch’s mind.
There were a couple different illustrators in this book, and it really helped make it feel a bit longer. The comic book sequence is absolutely phenomenal; here’s a bit of that now.
Altogether, I can’t get over how much I love this book. I want more now, and I need you to read it so we can talk about it! If you haven’t picked it up yet, you can at Target, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble. And if you have read it, what did you think? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
